DENKO-E SESSHIN
October 15 - October 21. Denko-e Sesshin ("Transmission of Light Assembly") is one of four traditional sesshins initiated by Jikoji founder Kobun. Denko-e has a relatively lighter sitting schedule, with an emphasis on teaching and study, and how we carry our practice into our daily lives. The study topic is from the original teachings of the Buddha, the Satipatthana Sutta, or the “Four Foundations of Mindfulness.” This year, Denko-e will be co-led by teachers of Kobun's Phoenix Cloud lineage: Mark Adams, Cliff Isberg, Doug Jacobson, Michael Newhall, Dean Williams, and Dan Zigmond.
