KOBUN   MEMORIAL   WEEKEND

Saturday, July 26th and Sunday, July 27th

Jikoji invites you to join us in a weekend remembering Kobun Chino Otokawa Roshi, studying his teachings on Saturday and a Memorial Ceremony on Sunday.
Rooms are available if you wish to stay over at Jikoji.

SATURDAY:  A day of reading, study, reflection and discussion of Kobun's teaching led by Judy Cosgrove.  The text will be Judy's recently compiled first-draft book of practice, precepts, Buddhist thought, etc. from the history of Kobun's teaching.  Lunch and some light practice will be included.

SUNDAY:  The usual Sunday program, beginning with zazen at 10 am, will be followed by a memorial service of chanting and incense offering at the outdoor memorial site, and finish with a social lunch.  This ceremony commemorates the death in 2002 of Kobun Chino Roshi and his daughter Maya.
